Welcome to The University of Wollongong Scuba Diving Club. The UoW Scuba Club is a non profit club existing as a subsidiary of the University Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC). The aim of the Club is to provide fun, safe and inexpensive diving to club members. Membership entitles students, staff and associates access to a 12ft inflatable Zodiac boat, very affordable boat dives and equipment hire (including discounts from local dive shops). Members are also provided with the opportunity to meet and dive with other scuba enthusiasts and experience some of the best dive spots that the Illawarra and Australia has to offer.
Check out the club's Event Calendar for information on upcoming dives. To become a member of the UoW Scuba Club fill out and lodge the Membership Application Form. On the form, you will need to quote your University Recreation & Aquatic Centre (URAC) membership number, click here if you are not already a URAC member. The UoW Scuba Club can also assist you to become a certified diver or upgrade your current dive qualifications via our affiliates. For information on the clubs affiliates check out a Dive Course.
The Club is run on a voluntary basis by an elected Executive Committee and welcomes the support and input of all Club members. General meetings are held every month and an Annual General Meetings is held once a year (as the name suggests). See the Club's Event Calendar for information on the next meeting.
